Fill In The Blank

The following paragraph comes from something I read recently:

"Imagine yourself standing in the presence of your Creator, looking down from heaven on the earthly life you are about to be born into. Your Creator says to you "I’m going to send you into the world for about 80 years. It will be hard. In fact, it will be more painful, confusing and distressing then you can now imagine. You will have a thorn in your flesh, a _________________ that is the result of your entering a world that sin and death has broken. You may wrestle with it all your life. But I will be with you. I will be watching every step, guiding you. Supplying you with grace sufficient for each day. At the end of your journey, you will see my face again. The joy we will share will be born out of the agonies you faithfully endured by the power I gave you. No one will take that joy……which, if you were to experience it now, would simply crush you under its very weight.”
                          ***************************
What do you struggle with? What are you conflicted about? When nobody else is around, when no eyes or ears are on you, what desires fill your mind?
Whatever your answer is, does it control you or shape who you are?
Something(s) exists in every one of us that we know just isn't right. If you think this is not the case for you, then perhaps your ________ is a struggle with honesty. Maybe what you are struggling with the most is difficult for you to define. After all, not all of us fight with something that can be so visually obvious as drug addiction or stealing. In fact, your ________ could bring you happiness from time to time. It might even make you happy all the time....does it?
