The landscape of what daily life looks like for our family is changing. Some adjustments, we will be happy about. Others, we will resist. One change specifically, I'm quite excited for.
Beginning in July, Kris and I will have a date night on the last Friday of every month.
This will provide for us a bit of sanctuary. A reserved portion of time that the two of us can point to on the calender every few weeks, and look forward to.
All to often life gets out of control. Work is busy, and perhaps with good reason. Family and friends make demands of our time, as well they should. Our children will always need our attention, and we are happy to give it.
Mark my words... none of these things, either on their own, or in combinations, are more important then the bond I share with Kris.

That's great that you're making "dating" a priority!
So glad to hear about your scheduled date nights. Dave and I learned the importance of them years ago. Although it is many years away, your sons will grow up and move on with their lives and you and Kris will remain. The bond between you and Kris is paramount in the lives of your sons. Terri
i think ur date nights are very important if u need a baby sitter let me know.. try not to talk about the kids.. talk about ur dreams your hopes for the future.. make sure that it is a very special time for the both of u... you both deserve even a few hours of u time.. enjoy
